HOW FAB DO WE LOOK ON ST DAVID'S DAY?
The lovely Mrs Hurley brought in some ingredients and her soup maker and we made leek and potato soup. All of the ingredients we used came from Wales.
The Welsh Artist Christopher Williams
Christopher David Williams RBA (7 January 1873 – 1934) was a Welsh artist. He was born in Maesteg. We studied him and his art before we got to meet one of his family members who told us all about his life and career. We even got to see lots of photographs of Maesteg over 100 years ago. We were shocked how different it looked. One of Williams’ pieces of art was called The Red Dress and it was painted in 1917. |

We recreated our own versions of the painting. We were given the choice of different materials and with the original as inspiration we created our own versions. Please take a look below.
