What we already do at Caerau Primary School?
At Caerau Primary School, we are already eco-minded, so it's about time we earnt some recognition for our hard work. We recycle paper and plastics, we litter-pick to keep our areas clean, we have an OUTSTANDING outdoor nature area with a pond and outdoor cooking facilities and much, much more. We also link in with the local community project at Caerau Market Garden, who help us to compost our fruit waste peelings and help us grow food inside our large school polytunnel. Take a look at our "Eco Code."

What is Eco-Schools?
Here at Caerau Primary School, we are just beginning our exciting journey on the Eco-Schools' ladder; working towards our Bronze Award.
Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging 19.5 million children across 70 countries, making it the largest educational programme on the planet. The programme was developed by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in 1994 and run in Wales by Keep Wales Tidy.
It is designed to empower and inspire young people to make positive environmental changes to their school and wider community, while building on their skills, including numeracy and literacy, and encompassing Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship.
