Literacy
Our genre of writing for the next four weeks is Narrative. We will begin with familiarising ourselves with the tale 'Little Red Riding Hood' using Pie Corbett approach before retelling the traditional tale changing the characters and setting. |
Protecting our planet:
Our Spring term topic is 'Protecting Our Planet'. We will be looking at the ways we positively and negatively impact our planet such as recycling and pollution.
We will talk about our carbon footprints and offer suggestions for how to improve these.
We will explore deforestation and the effect it has on animals habitats. This will lead us to looking at MRS GREN and how different animals survive in their habitats.
Within our cross curricular learning we will be looking at the life cycles of flowers and trees before having the opportunity to explore these life cycles through an experiment.
