9.11.22 Helpwr Helpwr: Lacey S did an amazing job as our welsh Helpwr Heddiw. She used our key question board during the day to ask lots of questions in welsh. Here we see her ask our class 'Sut wyt ti?' Da iawn Lacey!

WB: 15.05.23 Kazoo fun!
After we listened to 'Flight of the Bumblebee' we created our own 'bee music' on the kazoo. We were buzzing from the whole experience! |

We worked on shapes and patterns on the yard. We used geoboards, chalks and pegs to create our patterns based on tessellation.
We did this after looking at the honeycombs bees make.

Make a Bee We really enjoyed making Bumble Bees out of art and craft resources. We used pinecones as a body and explained the body parts as we placed pipe cleaners, googly eyes and doyleys on our designs. |

17.05.23 TAKE YOUR FINGER FOR A WALK
We listed to 'The Flight of the Bumblebee' and decided to let the music take our finger for a walk on the page. We dipped our fingers in paint and let the music take control!
We then looked at each others work and decided what we liked about our friends work.

We used Pie Corbett to retell the story of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. We came up with our own actions together before telling the story again to an adult. Bendigedig pawb!

We went to the nature area and had a great time. We were told a ladybird had lost his home in the wind and we were the only class who could help!
We decided before we would design and build our bug house for the ladybird we would meet his neighbours.
We used special bug exploring tools to safely and sensibly find minibeasts.
We worked in pairs to explore the nature area and share what we found with our friends.

We have been looking at time in class. We used our time in the nature area to find a jigsaw of a clock. We had to work in groups to find the pieces before making the clock. We then had to work out what time was on our clock and tell an adult!

17.03.23: P.E. in Class 14DG and 15LW
We had a great time playing the dice game and working around obstacles to work on our P.E. skills. We decided that we had to stand like a flamingo, slither like a snake and walk like a crab to help us move around the hall and work on our ABC.

08.03.23; SNOW DAY
We had a great time having a snow ball fight, making snow angels and building a new class pupil out of snow. We worked as a team to roll up snow balls, pat them down into a body shape, hunt for sticks for arms and find stones for his face. We were cold... but mwynhau every second! |
06.03.23: We looked to handle money, make different amounts and used the interactive board to help us understand money...at one point we sang a bitesize song!

03.03.23 World Book Day
We really enjoyed telling stories and listening to each other tell stories today! We wore our pyjamas and brought in our favourite teddies to feel relaxed and calm as we listened to stories. We even had a chance to read stories to younger school pupils.

During our Circle Time chat we read stories and answered questions. Lacey S read one of Mr Goldsworthy's favourite stories Dr Hoof. We all enjoyed finding out how Dr Hoof would solve his patient problems at his surgery... In the end we found out that friendship is the best medicine of all!

We love singing welsh Songs in our class. We really like the 'Pimp Crocodeil' song and sang to the school our version. |

We had a great time down the Forest Nature Area making Valentine hearts or flowers out of any resources we found. We loved our results!

SANTA! We spoke to Santa about our hopes and dreams and what we would like for Christmas. Santa was so kind.

CHRISTMAS 2022
We had lots of fun celebrating Christmas in our school. We shared a Christmas Dinner, Mr Goldsworthy sang Christmas songs karaoke style with the dinner ladies as backing singers, we sang Merry Christmas songs ourselves and played lots of instruments. |

We did work on Remembrance Day. We spoke about how this is a time that gives people the chance to remember those who fought and lost their lives during the war and how we can honour their memory. The CBeebies Poppy Animation helped us understand the pain of war. |

08.11.22: We had a visit from the local police. They were great with our class and showed us how a police car is used to help people in our community.
Chief Wiggum did not come to see us but the police were as excited as he to meet the plant ardderchog yn Caerau Primary School!

08.11.22: Like Texas Rangers the Local Police Horses rolled into town!

28.10.22: A lovely visit from SWP PD Winnie! She is a 4-year-old cocker spaniel and is a wonderful well-being dog! She made us all feel very hapus! Look at our amazing smiles.

26.10.22: Today we had a go at making Pumpkin Soup. We had a go at cutting different vegetables, tasting roasted pumpkin seeds that we seasoned and mixing up the ingredients. We tasted it at the end... and it was SOUP-er!
18.10.22 Nest Nature Walk: We made autumnal bird nests out of natural materials. We found leaves, grass, pinecones and other materials on top yard took them back to class and made natural nests. We took them down for the birds in our school nature area. Gwaith bendigedig!
