Our genre for the next three weeks is 'Persuasive Writing'. We will be creating an article or leaflet to persuade our audience to reduce their carbon footprint. We will be using our knowledge of pollution and bossy verbs to help us form persuasive arguments. |
This week we have been celebrating all things Wales! We have practised our handwriting, publishing the traditional Welsh rhyme 'Gee Ceffyl Bach'. This was part of a whole school competition in which Criw Cymraeg chose the best published handwriting!
Our favourite activity this week was learning all about Carissa Tanton. Carissa is a Welsh artist, born in North Wales. Carissa loves to draw and is known for her fine line drawings using black pen and paper. We created our own art using some of her most popular patterns as our inspiration.

We researched St David, the Patron Saint of Wales and the reason we now celebrate Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant.
We used our digital skills to work independently to create our own fact files. |

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Santa today. He brought selection boxes for each of us for our fantastic work this term!
