The Governors and staff aim to-
- create a positive atmosphere and caring environment for all staff and pupils
- provide the best possible education for all pupils and enable them to learn effectively and achieve high standards in all aspects of their work
- constantly strive to raise levels of pupils’ individual achievements in all areas of school life-but in particular, Literacy, Numeracy, ICT and in supporting children to think independently
- assist all staff and pupils in the acquisition of skills and knowledge relevant to their own development through the whole school implementation of the Literacy and Numeracy Framework
- instil a positive attitude towards each other, creating an atmosphere of tolerance and co-operation
- provide opportunities for all to participate and enjoy music, art, as well as other creative and sporting activities
- welcome parents and guardians into the school and encourage them to work with staff and pupils
- create a warm, clean and attractive school environment.

- review current educational initiatives and , if relevant, adopt them to the benefit of all staff and pupils
- maximise the school’s potential by working with outside agencies to assist the development of the school and to obtain any available support-financial or otherwise
- ensure that all staff adopt a positive attitude towards pupils’ care, and project the caring image of the school in the community
- promote the image of the school as a forward-moving organisation, at the forefront of educational and career development.
